Slow Down
Do you remember when as a child you wanted to do something that you knew your parents would say no to? I know in those situations the best time to ask was when they were preoccupied with something, 9 out of 10 times they would say yes simply because they were too busy to think it through. Well that's what the socialist on the hill are doing right now, they know the American sheeple are to busy with real world problems to think it through. Slow down folks think this through before you say yes to the not so stimulating package. This package Will cost us well over a TRILLION bucks and may not do what it is intended to do. Look the bailout package that was rammed down our throat back in October, what has this really accomplished? Sure it's given me and my fellow bloggers something to rant about, and the media something to report on, it may have actually saved a few white collar jobs, but what has it really accomplished? That's a question we all should be asking. So given the apparent lack of success of TARP why would we want a package designed by the same folks that designed TARP? The face of the congress has not changed since October, but that's not what Pelosi and the pussycats would have you believe. That would be like Ford coming out with the new and improved Pinto. Crap is crap folks, my Dad always said you can paint a turd but in the end you still have a turd. The social dynasty in congress (AKA: the progressive movement) wants the people of our great country to believe that they can re-invent the economy with this package. I agree that they will re-invent the economy and it will propel us to a new low faster than a SR-71 hits mach 1. The folks in Washington have spent the last few months highlighting wasteful spending by corporate America, all the while hiding the hundreds of thousands they have been spending on retreats for the donkey's. Whats that saying about the pot and the kettle?

I completely agree!! I watched a news story, a while back, about the last bailout....the one that nobody heard about. Apparently there was a housing bailout last summer that had several billion in it, that was supposed to help people avoid foreclosure. They could go apply for new mortgages, and it was sold as a fantastic new option of "hope"....but they talked to the guy that approved the applications and he said that only 2 applications had ever been approved!!
ReplyDeleteWhen asked why so few, he said that the application process was so hard, and buried in BS, that nobody could ever get approved. I'm glad that we have that available now. So that when I'm homeless, I will sleep better knowing there is money to help me. I won't be able to get it, but it will be there.....very assuring.
Anyway, I'm sure that the rest of the money allocated for this housing bailout has already been stolen but, why isn't that plan been re-worked, why isn't the money being used for this new bailout plan? This new bailout plan is just as ludicrous as the crackhead that has 14 kids! She must have been hitting the bong with Phelps! She says that she will be able to afford her brood when she gets out of college----for counseling! Keep dreaming lady! My Mom was a social worker (and a very good one) forever and she barely made anything. I could see if she said she was going to be a brain surgeon, lol.
But that's just how stupid this whole bailout is going to be. None of this money is going to get down to us, in our cardboard shanty-towns. The only thing that trickles down is piss on you leg! The money will be sucked up by the politicians, locked up in impossible tangles of red-tape, or given to porn magazines to make sure they don't go under.
There is no conceivable way that any of it will actually get into my pocket. Thank God there might be a $1000 tax cut though! I might be able to get another bag of groceries to share with my friends at the soup kitchen!!! Maybe we'll get some meat, something that sticks to our ribs....that'll help us hold up our signs in front of Wal-mart.
